This redecoration project was implemented just about two months ago. So to update you on some background information, the room next to mine used to store luggage and other travel related necessities. Then it became clear that a little spring clean was much needed in the household so I went through the stash, moved some to another storeroom and gave away those not in used. And instantly I have an extra room space to store all my clothes in one place. Not only I get dressed quicker in the mornings but it also serves for the times when I need some alone time to read or clear my mind.
The vision I have of this dressing room is to incorporate my favorite elements on top of some minimalistic pieces.
*Minnie's gloves from Tokyo Disneyland and Topshop sequin peplum top
I painted one side of the wall in this lovely shade of grey with a hint
of mint and kept the other walls white. This color brings back
nostalgic feelings as it reminds me of fancy vintage dresses and high
tea with dainty french pastries. A color like this often lack ability to
retain light in the room hence I also added lots of other white pieces,
ie. this faux fur rug from Ikea on an armchair also from Ikea.
*Topshop faux fur vest, Grey fur collar from Tokyo, DIY Floral Antler
*See by Chloe Poya crossbody, Bally sandals, Topshp faux fur vest
You might be familiar with these after their appearance here, They bring back memories from my trip very now and then. Faintly in the background is one of the highlight of this room; also another great find from Ikea.
*Laduree petal blush
This wasn't originally a planned purchase, but a girl will always allow herself to indulge with an abundance of beauty products. The most heartwarming part is how much thought it was put into designing this product; a paper based petal coated with blush powder.
Hope you enjoy and share your thoughts! Have a great weekend!
I love that you leave out pieces that are fashionable and inspirational to your style - I love the rack full of pretty frocks!
